Ready to take South Florida by storm!

I'm back in South Florida for the summer, and really excited for it :) Unfortunately, I'm in need of money, and so I'm trying to find a job for the next few months, but I will also be booking performances until August.

It's going to be a busy summer, with lots of hooping practice and working on doubles/minis, taking some trapeze classes, and working on my skating. Lots of new routines to work on, and hopefully I can save up some for some double LED hoops and an LED flow wand. Maybe even a new fire hoop if I can afford it!

First Booking!

I had a performance yesterday at a local daycare! I hooped to a 4 minute song and then I taught the 5-6 year olds how to hula hoop! They had a great time, and the daycare asked me to come back later in the summer! It went really well, and I'm so glad. I have another possible booking with another daycare, but hopefully the gig yesterday will help promote my company around the community!

Almost ready to launch!

We're already taking any bookings for events, but we're very nearly done completely launching everything! I'm nearly done with the website (just a few finishing touches), and all I really need to do is promote like crazy! I also need to contact the fire department about open fire licenses for any fire shows I might put on! For now, I'm going to finish up making my demo video to send out to clubs and people who might want a performer; I also got a bit of money to spend on Google AdWords, to put out the word on the internet (locally, of course), I bought some business cards, and I'm working on getting a job teaching (for free though) to try and get myself out there in the community. Wish me luck! :)

Working on the website!

While all that nasty paperwork is in progress to become an officially licensed business, etc, I’m finally putting some real effort into the website! Soon I shall be making a Facebook page, MySpace, ads, etc, for the company. Ah, marketing. :) Hopefully I’m as good as people tell me I am at it. Maybe I should have made a marketing business instead? But this is more fun. :)
